Office Administrator – Job Description

Mitchell Berean Church, Mitchell, NE.


   The purpose of the Office Administrator position is to oversee the day to day office operations.


  1. The individual is a “born again believer in Christ and has a consistent, growing walk with the Lord.
  2. Preferably, a minimum of 5 years’ office/secretarial experience as well as Computer experience in data entry, Microsoft Word & Excel, etc.
  3. The individual endorses the MBC and Berean Fundamental Council constitutions.
  4. The individual feels God’s call upon their life for this position.


  1. Upon hiring, the Office Administrator will be on a six month probationary status.  A three month performance review will be followed by the six month performance review, by the Lead Pastor with input from the Elder team.  If the candidate, Lead Pastor and Elder team are in full agreement of ending the probation status, then the Office Administrator will be off probation review status and their status will be reviewed yearly by the Lead Pastor with input from the Elder team.
  2. The Office Administrator will sign an “Employee Handbook Acknowledgement Form” and “Preventive Child Abuse Policy.”
  3. The Office Administrator will attend one worship service with their spouse (if married) as well as being available at remaining services to assist congregants with Realm, signups, etc. 
  4. The Office Administrator will submit a monthly ministry report at monthly directional meeting with the Administrative Coordinator.

  • Request for Verification of Employment – get info from Pat/ Lead Pastor
  • Collect Liability Insurance Certificates from sub-contractors…Lighthouse Electric, S&S plumbing, etc.
  • Fill out/sign Tax Exempt Form 13 for purchases in Nebraska Renewal – PO Box 215, Mitchell
  • Renew Tax Exempt status at Scottsbluff County Court
  • Bus Registration at courthouse.
    • Get check from Pat
    • Coordinate with Don Ulrich on bus maintenance.
  • Printer Maintenance – order toner, etc.
  • Stock copy room – bulletin paper, color paper, card stock,  misc. office supplies
  • Order notepads and pens for chairs
  • Maintain building and events calendar & reservations of building
  • Print calendar for Cleaning Crew
  • Order books – New Testament, daily bread, etc.
  • Introduction to the Family – printing books, following up on invites
  • Print books for core classes
  • Scheduling Events Center for special events
  • Order flowers for funerals
